Shoe bag organizer

Picked up this to store little things. The glue on the velcro is not very strong on the fabric.  I can stitch it or try some other kind of velcro that I have. I also may try the command or 3M ? plastic removable wall hooks.

L.A. City Maintenance

When I came back to my son's place at around 6:00PM, there was a compressor type machine and hose at the man hole in front of the house next door. It was very noisy. Hours went by and it continued. The noise has since increased so I went to investigate. A huge truck! A quick search and I discovered what the truck does. This country girl has never been witness to such a truck! A lot has changed in city maintenance. I have not had the privilege of experiencing such sucking and flushing! There is a first for everything I suppose. I feel really bad for the people next door. I learned today that someone there has cancer. I wonder if the city notifies homeowners and residents when such maintenance takes place. Perhaps they tell owners. We were not told, although my son is a renter. Perhaps it was an emergency. If scheduled, it would be nice to get a post card alerting the people in the area when such work and noise will take place. A New Beginning

Everything is finally coming together and I am almost ready for the expedition to begin.  I am getting all my ducks in a row and I will be packing the Element tomorrow. We had wind and big thunderstorms this afternoon and then rain throughout the evening. It put a damper on loading up today. I have a few details to take care tomorrow and packing and securing everything for the highway will take some time. I am exhausted beyond words. I can't wait to spend the night in the Element! I have work to do getting this blog together and videos to edit. Now I will have time to write. I can be a nomad, live the gypsy life that is in my blood. I can explore and have adventures. Finally! I am done with the house and packing. Done with that life that I didn't want anymore. Done with all that was so physically, mentally and emotionally hard. Done with being involved with people. Done with the frustrating crazy making. I am free. I can see my son soon. I love thinking of the Element....

Getting Excited

Getting the Element build out finished. Planning on what i need to take. Will make an appointment for the mechanics to get the E a once over and fluids changed. Here is the list I came up with. Inspection Oil Change Transmission Fluid Differential Fluid Check Coolant and Washer fluid Rotate Tires Install Hidden Hitch Buy Hitch mounted Cargo Carrier License Plate Mount with Light. If getting a cargo carrier it will cover my plate. (I want the Swing Away For the Cargo Carrier but it is $270 clams! I have to see what the weight of it is. There is a cheaper one but from what I have read they bend almost immediatly.  Can my Credit Card handle another purchase? )
